"A Walk In The City" Acrylic 36" x 48" W. K. Johnson
I recently visited Nashville, a city I hadn't been to in a while. As I walked through the downtown area, I found myself captivated by the surroundings. While walking around the city I observed the various shapes and colors that filled my vision while being in motion. Whenever I paused to take it all in, the scene became even more vivid, detailed and focused. This experience inspired me to create this painting titled "A Walk In The City," which aims to capture the essence of this experience. The artwork showcases the interplay of upward and downward perspectives, the dynamic motion, and the juxtaposition of geometric and organic shapes. The harmonious blend of natural and artificial colors adds an exciting visual dimension.
